Map to Main is a team of three friends with shared passions for the heart behind small towns. Allisa Babor, Natalie Kahler, and Barry Meindl are dedicated to empowering Main Street organizations and community-driven nonprofits with the skills and strategies they need to thrive. Our consulting services focus on transforming visionary ideas into actionable plans that strengthen communities. A Main Street has never died from a lack of ideas. They die from a lack of implementation.   • Besides serving as an Executive Director (Natalie) and Committee Chairs (Barry & Allisa) and consultants, we’ve been meeting you at Florida Main Street events throughout the years, and have worked with many of you as clients. We’ve won awards for our projects and been recognized as people who get things done.

  • We’ve served as County Arts Council Chair (Allisa), City Housing Authority Chair (Barry) and City Mayor (Natalie). We’ve attended more local government meetings than we can count and even more important - we’ve enjoyed most of them! (Especially Barry)

  • All of us have started our own businesses, we’ve had a business in a Main Street district (Allisa), and we’ve done lots of marketing for those businesses (Barry and Allisa). We know how to change policies to make cities more business-friendly (Allisa, Barry, Natalie) and have successfully gotten businesses to collaborate (Allisa, Barry, Natalie) with multiple projects and initiatives.

  • Each of us has personally overcommitted in the past and due to that we’ve learned how to build teams with positive energy and focus, without hitting burnout and overextending our volunteers. We've found ways to navigate difficult situations that can bring harm your Main Street.

  • We’ve had to figure out how to run events without any budget. We’ve had bad ideas that led to good lessons. We’ve had festivals that started off with literal tornados and events that at times felt like a Category 5 storm here in Central Florida. All to say– whatever you are going through, chances are good that we can relate. And we’d love to help you out by sharing what we’ve learned along the way.
