The Mermaid Tale Trail

The Mermaid Tale Trail

Content Production

We had the pleasure of working once again with the tourism team to support the exciting expansion of Hernando County’s largest public art trail—The Mermaid Tale Trail. With ten new mermaid sculptures added across the county, it was time for a refreshed trail map and updated materials to match.

Together, we reformatted the original map into a trifold layout, designed to be printed in pads for easy distribution and reuse. We also updated all new sculpture locations and created marketing materials that stay true to the trail’s existing brand—designed to be fun, accessible, and engaging for both kids and adults.

During her time with the Hernando County Fine Arts Council, Allisa played an active role in project development for The Mermaid Tale Trail, working closely alongside Florida’s Adventure Coast team members, Natalie Kahler and Jessica Knutila. To date, this remains the largest public art initiative in Hernando County—and it’s only growing, with the second round now complete and even more planned for the future.

As longtime advocates for public art, this project was a joy to bring to life. Take a look at the final pieces below or head to the official trail website to plan your next adventure.
